MADE IN MONTANA PRODUCTS:
We are proud to offer a wide selection of gourmet and specialty food products made right here in Montana.
Sharon Culbertson and The Copper Colander Manager, Tracy Nielsen, travel to market several times each year with their game plan in hand! They research new brands, new products of current brands, and look for the latest trends in cooking and entertaining. An idea may come from a cooking magazine, cookbook or the cooking channel! If a customer has requested something they put that on their list along with items suggested by the staff.
When they return to the store and the merchandise arrives the next step begins. Time to test….The Copper Colander wants to make certain that all products are tried and true so they go through the Sharon/Tracy wringer before they make it to the sales floor! If they do not live up to expectations then they are on the return flight to the manufacturer! Sharon and Tracy have a strong conviction to provide quality products that will help you produce quality cooking and baking!
Once the products are in the store then the friendly, informed staff is there to introduce them to you. The staff learns about the products as they become available and will do everything they can to answer your questions or find the answer. So if you are wondering about pots, pans, knives and gadgets come in and the CC staff will help you!
The CC Family Favorite
The August CC Family Favorite comes from Sales Associate, Karen Card. Her recipe is very timely given all the summer gatherings and pot luck events. Thank you, Karen.
Betty Ford’s Salad
---
½ head of lettuce (chopped fine)
½ pkg. fresh spinach (chopped fine)
½ pkg. frozen peas (thawed)
green pepper (chopped)
3-4 stalks green onion (chopped, stems included)
Mix above ingredients, ideally 24 hours before serving, and put in tightly covered bowl. Just before serving mix the following:
1 c. Miracle Whip
3 T. sugar
Put on salad in a circle. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and 4 slices fried bacon, crumbled. This salad will serve 12 easily.
Karen's favorite CC kitchen gadget is the Rosle Garlic Press. She said, "If you have ever had problems with garlic not cutting or oozing out the side of a press, you won’t have that with this press. Clean up is easy and it has a lifetime guarantee. I love it!"
