Curious Chefs (grades K-2)

Tuesday, May 18th: 4 – 5:30 p.m.

THEME: BBQ BASICS

As we launch into BBQ season, learn the basics of how to bar-b-que meat, vegetables and even fruit. Learn the safety "rules" when grilling and the tools you need for a safe and delicious BBQ dish.

Menu includes:

Mexican Burger with Avacado Salsa; Grilled Vegetables and Fruit Medley; Grilled Sausage Pizza 

 

Cost: $40 (first time student); $30 (returning student)

 Your “Curious Chef” will learn age appropriate culinary skills, including kitchen safety, proper sanitary practices, adding and measuring ingredients, basic recipes, and will prepare a simple yet satisfying meal for their self based on the monthly theme. Story time will break up the class with an interactive book that incorporates the fun of cooking.
 

 

 

Carrie Sullivan

Carrie is our Culinary Center Coordinator who coordinates all of our culinary classes and private parties. While she is not working, Carrie takes care of her busy 9 year-old daughter and enjoys being in the outdoors.

Carrie says her goals in the Culinary Center are to "provide people the opportunity to learn how to cook and bake, provide demonstrations so our customers learn how to use the products that we carry and keep on top of changes and trends in the food world and teach them to our customers and staff."
